A private custom tour of Ireland is a unique experience created just for you and your group of 2 – 20 people. Start where and when you wish, visit the places that interest you most, schedule in the activities you most enjoy and specify the type of accommodation you prefer. Your stay in Ireland will be led by one of our experienced driver guides, each with the sort of local knowledge that makes a good vacation a great one.
You won’t share a coach with multiple strangers or waste time driving and navigating unfamiliar roads. We’ll take care of everything so that all you have to do is have a good time!
Your patience and willingness to adjust and re-adjust the itinerary as I continued to ask questions was most helpful and appreciated. The final choices all proved to be just perfect.
Common Questions
How much input will I have?
It’s completely up to you. Some people like to be involved with every detail of their tour, others are happy to tell us how long they have and broadly what they want and leave the rest to us until the final revision stage – an option that many very busy people choose!
How much time do I need?
As much or little as you want, we’ve arranged tours for 3 days and for 30 days and everything in between. We’ll plan and pace your tour so that you see as much as you want in whatever time you have available.
Where do tours start and end?
Your custom tour of Ireland can start anywhere – we can pick you up at an airport, a train station, a hotel, anywhere that suits you. The same applies at the end of your tour, we will drop you to any departure point of your choice.
What are my accommodation choices?
We can book accommodation in any type of hotel that suits you. Typically we will book 5* hotels or particularly good boutique hotels – but we also regularly book very special farmhouse, manor house or B&B accommodations that we will recommend if we think they’d suit your group or your budget better.
Can I vary the itinerary while in Ireland?
On all of our tours we can, and usually do, take spontaneous detours along the road, to places not in your itinerary. So if you see an intriguing signpost to somewhere that sounds interesting or want to follow that winding road to the lake, we will happily make a detour for you.
Can our group split up?
If your group has diverse interests – perhaps one loves gardening, another golf, one is fascinated by history and another just wants to relax in a spa – the beauty of a custom tour of Ireland is that we can arrange for the group to split up to pursue their special interests on certain days.
Can you facilitate people with mobility issues?
If any members of your group have mobility issues, we will plan an itinerary that works equally well for everyone, whatever their ability. We can readily reconfigure our already spacious vehicles as required and also have wheelchair friendly transportation available.
Where there are special requirements for accommodation, we will select places to stay with those in mind and will liaise with hotels to ensure that everything you need is in place in advance of your arrival.
