Though far less visited then the better known Cliffs of Moher the cliffs at Slieve League are over twice as high, rising almost 2000 ft from the North Atlantic making them the highest sea cliffs in Europe.
The scenery around Slieve League is stunning and there is a walkway to allow you to take in the views. The narrow One Man’s Path leads to the summit of Slieve League from where the best views can be had, though it’s a climb for the stout hearted and not one to be undertaken in poor weather.
At the end of your walk a visit to the small craft center and its excellent cafe, run by local people and with home made treats galore, is a worthy reward.
It’s off the beaten track but is a favorite destination of anyone who takes the time to get there and certainly one that our guests have rated very highly.
